Our Members

THE ASSOCIATION IS COMPOSED OF THREE CATEGORIES OF MEMBERS:

  • Effective members
  • An Effective member is any student, survivor of genocide against Tutsi who wishes and requests to join and work together in order to fulfill and achieve the mission of the association.

  • Adherent members
  • An Adherent member is any other student who wishes to join the association with the good will to participate actively and tirelessly following status of AERG

  • Honor members
  • An Honor member is any former member of AERG of honesty and integrity, he/she may be also any other person with willingness to join the association he/she would not have been implicated in genocide

    ORGANS OF THE ORGANIZATION
    The Organization is composed by the following organs :
    a)The national congress, which is the supreme power of the Organization
    The national congress is composed by:

  • The national executive committee members
  • The representatives of sections in universities and institutions of higher learning and secondary schools
  • The presentativeS of honor members
  • b)The national executive committee
    c)Conciliation committee (C.C)
    The Conciliation Committee is in charge of resolving the conflict when they occur between different authorities of the association, between a member and any authority and also between members. The arbitration committee is the the one that provide the punishment for the members or for the authorities This committee also is the one which explain and play a role in the preparation of internal rules and regulation of AERG. The arbitration committee which is about to end its mandate, is the one that organize and direct elections of other committee members of AERG in the way of guiding new arbitration committee. After elections, those two committee do a handover and the new committee conducts the swearing in of other committees. The arbitration Committee is composed by 5 members elected by the National Congress. They vote President, his deputy, the Secretary and two advisors. They have a mandate of two years non renewable.
    d)Controlling committee (C.C)
    The Controlling Committee is an organ in charge of controlling the activities of the Association. It has access to any document in relation with the activities of the organization and can receive the injunctions from the National Congress. When it needed, the President of Controlling Committee can demand the President of A.E.R.G to convene the Extraordinary Session for presentation of the report. The Controlling Committee is composed by 5 members elected by the National Congress. They vote President, his deputy, the Secretary and two advisors. They have a mandate of two years non renewable

  • The National Coordinator who is the Legal Representative of the organization
  • The 1st Vice Vice Coordinator who is the Deputy Legal Representative of the organization
  • The 2nd Vice Coordinator
  • The General Secretary
  • Eight commissaries
